Academic Rigor
 

Eden’s proven curriculum has resulted in high academic achievement and earned us the unique distinction of being dually accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. When your child graduates from Eden, he or she will be prepared intellectually to handle the rigors of postsecondary education and training.

Eden students consistently score in the top 10 to 20 percent of students in the United States on standardized tests.

Eden graduates consistently score above the national and regional averages on the SAT and ACT exams, which assess students’ readiness for college.

Eden has advanced 5 National Merit Scholars representing the top 0.5% of high school seniors in the state and 8 National Merit Commended students since our first graduating class in 2007.

Is Eden an accredited school?

Yes, Eden holds dual accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Association of Christian Schools International.

Are Eden teachers certified?

Yes, all Eden teachers are certified and 22 of our 66 faculty members hold master’s degrees. Faculty must take professional and Biblical continuing education units to maintain certification.

Is Eden affiliated with a specific church or denomination?

No, Eden is an independent, board-run Christian school. Eden families come to us from 130 Christian churches throughout the Pittsburgh region.

Do you have a hot lunch program?

Yes, hot lunches can be ordered through Campus Cuisine and are available every day. Milk is also available for purchase daily.

Is there a Bible class at Eden?

Yes, we do have a Bible class taught each day. Most importantly, Biblical truths are integrated in all aspects of Eden’s curriculum and applied throughout the school day as well.

Is Eden one school or three schools?

Eden Christian Academy is one school with three campuses, serving students in preschool through grade 12 from the greater Pittsburgh area. The entire Eden community gathers twice a year for all-school chapel services and the all-school family picnic.
