Gronbeck Earns Eden Christian's 1st WPIAL Track Gold

Eden's Jenna Snavely to Run at South Eastern University 

Congratulations to 2016 student athlete, Jenna Snavely, who recently signed a letter of intent to run Cross Country at South Eastern University in Lakeland, Florida.


Sophomore David Ritchie Named to the WPIAL Class A Section 1 All Section Team

Sophomore David Ritchie was named to the WPIAL Class A Section 1 all section team.  Ritchie led the Warriors in scoring, averaging almost 22 points per game (21.8).  Congratulations to David Ritchie and all of the Warriors on a great season! Young Players to Carry Eden Christian Baseball

The Eden Christian baseball team graduated nine seniors last year, but coach Steve Good is comfortable that the experienced group he has returning will not set the program back.  Good said in the program's six-year history, he has not coached a team with a slew of players who play for various teams, at various times during the year. So despite a lack of seniors on the roster, the juniors, he said, have been battle tested. (read more at TribLive)

Eden Boys Varsity Basketball Team Advances to PIAA Playoffs

With the 54-48 win over Clairton on February 25th, the Boys Varsity Basketball team earned a spot in the PIAA basketball playoffs!
The boys will play Elk County Catholic at Clarion University of Pa. Tip-off is scheduled for Friday, March 4th at 7:30 PM (read more at TribLive).

Eden Boys Among Top Teams in Section 1-A

Going into the 2015-16 season, Eden Christian's boys basketball team had a major hole to fill. The Warriors lost all-time leading scorer Carter Ehms to graduation, but with four returning starters working hard to fill the void, coach Todd Aiken is seeing another strong playoff campaign develop, with the Warriors firmly entrenched as the second-place squad in Section 1-A. Eden Cross Country PIAA Championships

We're proud of our Eden cross country runners, Lauren Gronbeck, Jenna Snavely, and Kayla Ostaffe, who competed this weekend at the PIAA championships in Hershey, PA.  A special congratulations to Lauren Gronbeck, who placed 3rd overall! (>photos)

WPIAL Cross Country Championships

Congratulations to Lauren Gronbeck (Class of ‘16), Jenna Snavely (Class of ‘16) and Kayla Ostaffe (Class of ‘17) for competing successfully at the WPIAL Championships for Cross Country and qualifying for the State Championships to be held in Hershey, Pennsylvania on Saturday, November 7.

Congratulations to Lauren Gronbeck on WPIAL Track Success!

Following a very successful fall cross country season, Lauren Gronbeck was looking for more success on the track this spring.  She ran in two events, the 1600 & the 3200.  In the 1600, she came in 1st place at sectionals and 4th place at WPIAL Championships.  In the 3200, she came in 2nd place at sectionals & WPIAL Championships and then finished in 3rd place at PIAA Championships.  Congratulations to Lauren on another successful season!

Congratulations to Eden’s Athletic Director, Mr. Steve Good, on being named West Penn Baseball Single A Coach of the Year!   We are proud of the hard work and commitment of our Warriors and coaches this year and congratulate you all on a job well done!


Track:  North Feature Athlete- Eden Christian's Lauren Gronbeck

Gronbeck has been in cross country and track while in high school. She has also been a valuable member of the school's mock trial team. Gronbeck took second in the 3,200 at the Mars Invitational. (read more at Post-Gazette.com)

Eden Christian scored the go-ahead run in the sixth and held on for a 3-2 upset win in a frigid section battle at Youthtowne Sports Complex.  (read more at TimesOnline)


Congratulations Mr. Todd Aiken- WPIAL Coach of the Year!

Our Warriors certainly experienced a thrilling basketball season this year- winning our first WPIAL playoff game and qualifying for the PIAA playoffs!  We are thankful for the commitment and dedication of each of the players and coaches whose tremendous effort made this season possible.

Gorman:  Upset puts Eden on Map

A week ago, Eden Christian Academy had never won a WPIAL playoff game in any sport.  After beating Clairton in the first round and top-seeded and previously undefeated Sewickley Academy in the Class A quarterfinals, Eden Christian is the talk of the WPIAL basketball playoffs.
