Counseling Services at ECA

At Eden Christian Academy, we believe in supporting the whole student - academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Partnering with teachers and administrators across our three campuses, our counselors provide student guidance, encouragement, and care throughout seasons of growth and challenge. Mrs. Steiner and Mrs. Depew can also help connect families to trusted outside resources when additional or ongoing support is needed.

Our counselors are strong advocates for mental health through stress management, as well as skills for emotional resilience, peer relationships, and decision-making. These efforts play a vital role in building a student’s confidence and Christ-like character for life beyond the classroom.

Upper School Counseling – Mrs. Kathryn Steiner

Mrs. Steiner holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Counseling from Liberty University. She has been with Eden Christian Academy since the 2021-2022 school year. She served as a Discovery Therapist before taking on the role of School Counselor in the 2024.

Elementary Counseling – Mrs. Holly DePew

Mrs. DePew came to Eden with 25 years of experience in the mental health field and 12 years of experience serving as Dean of Student Life with a focus on student counseling at a local Christian school. She holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh and is a 2018 Colson Fellows Member.
