Elementary Principal, Wexford Campus
Eden Christian Academy is seeking candidates interested in serving as Elementary Principal at the elementary campus in Wexford, PA. As the largest multi-denominational Christian school (PreKindergarten – Grade 12) in the greater Pittsburgh area, Eden remains committed to building on its 35-year history of providing an exceptional educational experience that engages the mind and heart of each student to think and act with Christ-like character.

The Elementary Principal functions as the academic and spiritual leader of approximately 224 students and 31 faculty and staff members. On the Leadership Team, the Elementary Principal works in collaboration with the principals from Eden’s other two campuses and reports directly to the Head of School. It is essential that candidates have the skills to build on the existing strengths of Eden while providing a strategic vision and leadership as the school proceeds into the next phase of its growth.

The mission-appropriate candidate must be able to demonstrate a Christ-like model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. The candidate should exhibit and demonstrate strong relational abilities, experience in developing and guiding curriculum, knowledge of learning style differences, ability to articulate and implement a Christ-inspired vison, and continue the team-building concept currently in place. Candidates must possess an advanced degree in a relevant field.

Interested candidates should submit the following materials electronically to Tom Hughes, Head of School at thughes@edenca.org by November 16, 2018:

  • Cover letter stating interest in the position
  • Up-to-date resume
  • Statement of Christian Belief
  • Statement of Educational Philosophy and Practices
  • List of three references, including phone number and email address (references will be contacted with candidate’s permission)
